Kitchen and Another ER Visit

Here are some pictures of the almost finished kitchen. I will try and do real before and after pics when its actually done but we have the cabinets and they are beautiful.
Dylan also went to the ER this week so needless to say it was eventful. He has bronchitis and was having trouble breathing. He got bad fast and we ended up at ER on saturday nite. He is better but still wheezing a bit so hopefully he is 100% soon. His birthday is next Saturday so I am hoping he is off all his meds by then!!!

I don't remember what day this is.....

.

Ok I have to admit I am getting a little annoyed with my remodel altho all in all it is going pretty well. Its just a matter of getting it done now. I am hoping that when we go to Vegas we will come home and it will look completely different!!! Realistically it should look ready for the cabinets to go in and then all we have left are countertops and floors (if we have any money left for floors). We may have cement for awhile!! Thats popular now a days right?!!
Ok time is still flying by. It just never stops. Dylan has 2 more teeth as of yesterday. They broke thru on the same day so I guess that was good. He is so independent...wants to feed himself and now he only wants to eat big people food. The baby food just isn't cutting it anymore. I know he is almost one but I don't want him to grow up. Is it crazy that I already think he is too big and want him to stay young!!! I don't know if its cuz we don't know if we will have another one for sure but it makes me sad to see him grow up. Maybe Christy will have another one and then maybe we will.....who knows! Ok I must be really tired......off to bed. Swim class tomorrow and then more planning for Vegas and then Dylan and Anni's birthday party when we get back!!! What a busy month...before I will know it I will be back on graveyard....but by then my house will be done so it will be great!!!!

Day 2 and 3 and 4 and 5

As you can see we have 2 huge holes in our floor and a pile of dirt inside the family room. We also got our new windows in......i guess we have to take the good with the bad!!!
Day 4 we had no power so no pictures but we did have a nice quiet night with candles and no tv. Thank goodness grandma lives across the street. Day 5 all the big electrical stuff was done and the power was back on. Tomorrow our old wall is supposed to come down and the new support beam go up so hopefully that goes smoothly!!

Day one......July 6th

Everything gone....this is the day we realized that Carl had left the electrical where it was on the house before the addition. Our first set back......

The before pictures......

Ok here are the before pictures. My hope is that updating this blog will be cathartic for me (or it could backfire and make me realize how long this will take). We started on Monday July 6th but have been without power for a few days so I was only able to start now so here goes....

ER's and Mice

So I am at work and thinking now is a good time to update my blog but really I don' t have much to say. I will put pictures on later so if you happen to read this before the pics are up check back later. Lets see, everyone is currently sick. And by everyone I mean Zach was sick and now Dylan is sick. Also Logan, Annika and hopefully that is it. We did have an eventful last week. Audrey came home from visiting up north and was dizzy and had fallen 3 times. That was our first trip to the ER on wednesday. Turns out it was blood pressure and her meds have been fixed and she is doing much better. Second ER trip was Friday night with Zachary. On wednesday before Grandma got home Zach fell on the outside steps and busted his lip pretty good. I mean it was bleeding quite a bit. Anyway on friday around 1100 he developed a fever. On Friday night it was 103 and I was concerned that his lip was infected. It kind of had a yellowish pus looking look to it. Dr at ER says he is fine and we go home. Now everytime ( well not everytime which is the problem) Zach drinks something he starts crying and says his mouth hurts, or his toungue hurts. On a side note he also has been saying his eyes are running (like his nose runs) when he is crying and trying to explain to him that his crying is causing that has been interesting. Ok back to the drinking, now I am worried that when he fell he damaged his tooth/teeth. His front right tooth does appear to have a chip on it but it is so small it seems like nothing but who knows. We now have a emergency dentist appt (that should be fun) tommorow at 11 (which by the way was the same time that Dylan was go in for his HIB shot that he missed but I now had to cancel cuz of his fever) Wheeewww!! It even seems like a lot writing it down.
I almost forget......we also have rats. Ok technically I think they are mice and so far they seem to be outside so that is good. There are 3 of them. I think I am going to call them Alvin, Simon and Theodore. At least until I get rid of them that is. They were eating the birdseed in the back yard and crawling around right under our bedroom window. Mark actually saw them climp up a wall!! Who knew a mouse could do that. Then when I finally saw one of them (and confirmed they were mice, not rats like Mark had thought) it went onto our metal awning and ran all the way across it and I swear it flew off the side of the patio cover and lept into the lemon tree! Literally flew!!!! Ok so the exterminator is coming tommorrow as well!!!
So here is to no fevers, no cracked teeth, no mice, no falling and no work for 3 days!!! Wish us luck!!!

Another busy month......

Ok so these pictures will be out of order.....the older ones are on the bottom and the newer ones are on top. Anyway, hope all is well with those of you who still check this out. This entry is for Aunt Mush since I know she is reading. Not much has changed and so much has changed. The boys are I are getting use to the new house and starting plans for the

big renovation. I will try and update the blog as we go thru the remodel and get some before and after shots. We are making some pretty big changes and I cannot wait to see what it looks like when it is all done. The plan is to have my son and my niece's 1st birthday party at our new house so that will be a fun way to end the summer. Dylan is getting so big. He is the typical boy...slow at everything. His younger cousin Annika (by 2 day) is crawling all over the place and Dylan is content being a bump on the floor. We will take it. I know we aren't supposed to compare but I am hoping that Dylan is just like Zachary when it comes to crawling. Zach literally waited until the construction at our old house was complete before he crawled for the first time. That was around his first birthday and strange enough that is the same timeline as the remodel on our house now so it would be nice if Dylans follows in his brothers footsteps..or crawlsteps as it were. As you can see we took a trip to Disneyland which was a lot of fun. Dylans loves music and lights and Zachary of course had a blast. Since my last post Zachary has gotten a haircut. He was such a big boy. We went to the grown up barber shop (it had a barber pole and everything) and he did such a good job. Not one tear and sat on the seat all by himself. He is getting so big. We have swim class and music class to look forward to this summer. I don't know about you but the summers seem like it just started but at the same time it is going to be over before we know it. With all the activities, the remodel, the birthday party and then boom its September. I am really looking forward to going to Las Vegas. I know it will be hard with both boys but I think we will have a good time and I am looking forward to the break from work. My mom could use a break too. Boy does she have it crazy right now. Sometimes she has 6 kids at the same time and 5 of them are 3 or younger. Crazy!! I try to help her on my off days but Zach and Logan are troublemakers when they are together so that doesn't help. Hopefully they grow out of that. Ok I think I am just rambling at this point. I can hear Dylan stirring in his crib so I will have to go get him soon. He is the only baby I have even known that just wakes up from his nap and does not cry. We are very lucky to have a kid like him. We are still working on Zach and calling our house "our house" and not "grandma's house". He has gotten pretty good the last few days. He keeps going around the backyard saying our new house, our new house. Speaking of the backyard Daddy has done a good job of fixing it up the last few days. It enjoyable to be back there now instead of cluttered with all the junk we had and had to get rid of. Mark also learned how to do some electrical so I have new light fixtures and new outlets and light switches. We are turning the house into our home and I love it!!! Tootles!!!
