Sleeping!

I remembered pics!!



I am at work so no pics but I just wanted to share with everyone a few things from this week. Dylan has been sleeping all nite for over a week now which is awesome. Daddy actually woke him up at 830 this morning!! We have been super busy...it seems like the weeks just fly by. I have to share this story cause it was just too funny. Our neighbors on one side are an elderly asian couple who don't speak english. They are friendly with us, they give us their paper every sunday but I think its cause they can't read it. Anyway, we were getting Zachary out of the car and when I bent over to help him out of his carseat he pulled my shirt and pretty much exposed me for the whole world to see. Well the whole world turned out to be my elderly male asian neighbor who when we looked up had the silliest grin you could imagine. Mark says he has never seen that guy smile so big ever!! It was pretty funny!!!

Zach's Shiner

Zachary officially has what looks like a black eye!!! I can only imagine what it is going to look like tomorrow. We went to Heritage Park today and had so much fun (minus the tripping and face planting on the cement stair....hence the black eye). I am trying to get some decent exercise in every day so Zach and I ran around the park and then around a baseball field. We both did pretty good. I have new found energy and I am hoping its not a fluke that Dylan has slept through the entire night 3 days in a row!! 830pm to 8am at least!!! So nice and I am hoping it lasts. I figure I have no excuse now not to exercise. Bath time has become a little more exciting too. Dylan is getting more and more coordinated everyday. Now he can sit up in the bath and purposely splash his hands in the water. Its pretty cute because it makes him laugh when he splashes himself. The down side is his coordination is so good that now he can grab hair and glasses with perfect form!!!!!

I am officially the mom who took her first kid to the photo place 3 times before the age of 1 but has not taken her 6 month old once!! So bad!!! I am trying to take some nice looking pics to blow up for around the house. I don't think Zach would cooperate at the photo place so I keep putting it off thinking I want both of them to be in the pics but at this rate Dylan won't have pics til he is 3!!!!

Nature Walk

Today the boys and I went to El Dorado Park to go for a nature walk and then to the park. Zach had so much fun. We went on the 1 mile walk and in the beginning he was running ahead but by the end he was trailing just a bit. Dylan seemed to enjoy himself. Daddy walked around with him and he just "hung out" the entire time. I have to admit that it was a beautiful day for the walk. The trees are so majestic and you feel like you are walking in a forest somewhere. It definetly did not feel like the freeway was just feet away. Only when we could hear the 605 and when we got to this one part where the power lines are very prominent did you remember where you were. Zach was pointing everything out including the power lines from then on.

As is evident from the pictures Dylan is a big boy!! He is almost 6 months old (crazy) and growing like a weed. He has been sleeping weird at nite....sometimes he wakes up and screams..sometimes he sleeps the whole nite. There have been a few time where I have had to pick him up and he has slept on me for the nite which is not that pleasant. Like I said he is a giant and can make it difficult for me to breathe. Last nite we decided to win the battle. He started crying around 1130 after having been asleep for 3 hours. We went in a couple times to give him his paci but he just kept crying. We were determined to win and even thought my stomache literally started hurting we waited and waited and waited. 45 MINUTES later we go back in and literally just stand over his crib and look at him. As soon as we walk in he stops crying everytime and this was no different so we just stared at him while he stared at us. We waited about 3 minutes said good nite again and walked out and somehow it worked!!! I keep telling myself we may have won the battle but I doubt we won the war. We will see tonite!!!!

Last nite we had an impromtu concert in our living room. Zach has learned to say Bruce Springsteen so last nite after he kept saying it Daddy put on the Superbowl halftime show. It was perfect timing because Zach and I had has just finished mixing the chocolate chip cookie dough so while the cookies were baking we all rocked out. I wish my video camera wasnt dead cuz it was the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. Dylan was in his exer-saucer stomping his feet ( I swear it was to the beat) and Zach was dancing and singing all over the living room. The pictures don't do it justice but it was a blast. I even jumped around thinking that since I was about to indulge in homemade cookies I better burn some calories!!!

Time sure flies by!!

Ok again I have not been very good at updating this thing and I am convinced that if I do nobody would read it anyway so this very well may be my last entry. I am sitting at jury duty in a room of people talking on cell phones and sneezing (I can't wait to get sick again being stuck in here) and trying to catch up on life. It has been crazy lately with us trying to sale our house. We had it sold for less than a day when the buyer backed out for some reason. Very frustrating to say the least. I love my house and deep down don't really want to go through moving but at the same time moving would be for the best and this opportunity is one that I can't pass up. I think Mark and I were so bummed when the house fell out of escrow because of all the "what if's " we had talked about. If we do move the possiblity of having another child is pretty good but if we don't its not so good and I think that is why I was most disappointed. Not that I want another baby anytime soon but I think 3 is a nice number.
The boys are so big and so much fun although Dyl Pill was truly a pill last night. I think he is cutting a tooth so last night we was up crying and crying. I had to hold him from midnite to a little after one before I finally went back down. As much as I love this age and how cute he is I will be thrilled when he is closer to one and we won't have the teeth issue anymore....not to mention no more bottles and real food!!!
Ok I know I could just ramble on and on cause I am so bored. 2 hours at jury duty so far and absolutely nothing has happen!! RIDICULOUS!!!
